Founder and director of Compulsion Solutions. Counselor, and author of two books on sex and porn addiction.
George didn’t just go to college and read about sexually compulsive behavior. He lived the life and got over it.
If you have got to the point of believing there is something disgusting about you, start here. Shame is what stops people picking up the phone, and it is the first thing George goes after, because you cannot get well while you are hiding.
He was addicted to sex and to porn. It cost him two marriages.
He tried to stop the way most people try to stop, on willpower and on promises he kept making to himself, and none of it held. He went and took a degree in counseling psychology because nothing else had worked. He calls that a last resort.
When he finally stopped, he burned the last photograph he had kept. Then he cried for two days.
He has said that on a stage, in a room organised by the industry that makes the product. That footage is further down this page.
If you call this office, the person you get has been where you are. There is nothing you can say to him that he has not already thought about himself.
His partner is Paldrom Collins, a former Buddhist nun, who has worked alongside him with the partners and spouses of the men he sees.
Both books were acquired and published by New Harbinger Publications, whose list is written mostly by psychologists and researchers.

Three more, on camera. The first he walked into. The other two he made himself.
If you only watch one
The adult industry organised this panel. George sat down in a room full of the people who make the product and told them he had been addicted to what they sell. He said he had been in love with Nina Hartley, who was sitting a few seats along on the same panel.
“It’s so embarrassing for a grown man like me to have to tell you that I was in love with pictures.”
He did not go there to win an argument. He told them he was not a nutcase, he told them his clients cannot get enough of what will not satisfy them, and then he asked the industry for a place to meet him.
“Where can we meet? Where can this be met?”
Watch what it costs him to say it. That is the thing worth seeing.
International television, and not a friendly booking. Six guests, among them adult performers and a women’s rights advocate, and most of the room came at him. He did not raise his voice and he did not soften the position either.
“I’m talking about something that makes you throw yourself off a bridge.”
For the person who already knows they are in trouble and wants to be told what to do about it. This is the nearest thing on the page to sitting in the room with him.
He still takes clients himself, and he still answers the phone more often than not.
You do not have to explain the whole thing on the first call. You do not have to give a name you are not ready to give.
